Sun Bucks

Summer is a time when many children may not have access to the free and reduced-price meals they get during the school year, and households might need a little extra help putting meals on the table.

Pennsylvania’s SUN Bucks program is a permanent federal nutrition assistance program through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. With $120 per eligible child, the SUN Bucks program helps cover grocery costs during the summer break from school. From fresh fruits and veggies to protein-packed meats and dairy, your benefits can be used for all the essentials. Plus, many families will receive benefits automatically.
